16.Brittany Bartula



Brittany Bartula is a CPA and Clinical Assistant Professor of Accounting at the University at Buffalo School of Management. Brittany is a proud alum of the University at Buffalo School of Management as well and earned her BS and MS in Accounting in 2016 and 2017, respectively. 

Brittany began her career as a Postgraduate Technical Assistant at the Financial Accounting Standards Board. Assisting in the standard setting process during her one-year assistantship fueled her passion to continue to pursue a specialty in technical accounting and accounting research. She has also held roles in EY’s Technical Accounting Advisory Group, and on ACV Auctions’ Accounting Policy and Special Projects team. Brittany has always had a passion for teaching and academic settings and was thrilled to start her new journey as a professor in 2022. 

In 2024, Brittany was a recipient of the NYCPA Emerging Leader Award. She is also very passionate about promoting financial literacy and published a children’s book in August 2024. The book is for children ages 0-5 and seamlessly introduces financial literacy concepts in an entertaining and accessible manner. Since its publication, Brittany has visited classrooms in her community for story time, financial literacy activities, and book giveaways.
