Burrito chain Chipotle warned people that the payment systems in most of its restaurants have been compromised by malware that lifts information from credit and debit cards used there, according to CNN Money. While the company acknowledged the breach at the end of April, it only recently revealed the extent of the infiltration, which covers the majority of its locations. The attack targeted the chain's cash registers, capturing information stored on a card's magnetic strip such as name, card number, expiration date and internal verification code. Anyone who has used a card at a Chipotle location, according to CNN, should check their bank statements for any unusual purchases since then.
