On St. Patrick's Day, the Foundation for Accounting Education officially launched The Moynihan Fund, an educational initiative created to honor the legacy of the late David J. Moynihan, the NYSSCPA's 2009-2010 president.
Shortly thereafter, an anonymous Society member challenged his fellow CPAs to live up to Dave's example and raise $10,000 by Thursday, May 14, the night of the Society's 118th Annual Meeting and Dinner. If we succeed, the donor—whose identity will be revealed at the dinner—will match the $10,000 with a personal donation of that same amount.
As of today, we're $3,655 short of that goal.
