The Cure for the Common Powerpoint: Pictures

BoringPresentationWhat's interesting and horrifying about PowerPoint presentations is that no one seems to like them, yet everyone keeps on using them. So, despite persistent criticism, it looks like we're stuck with it for the foreseeable future. May as well make the best of it. One way, according to an article in Forbes, is something humans have been using to communicate concepts since before history: pictures. Pictures are processed more easily than words, said Forbes, and are remembered more readily too. Besides which, it can be a frustrating experience to read text off a slide from way back in the room, especially if the presenter flips to the next one before you're done. Much better, according to Forbes, to use pictures to tell a story, and try to keep text to a minimum.
