Female representation among chief executives at Fortune 500 companies has increased to an all-time high of 27, a figure that shows progress but also that women still have a long way to go, according to CNN Money. While it may seem small, it's 22 percent higher than last year's figure, when there were only 22 female Fortune 500 CEOs. Still, even if the current growth rate continues year after year, CNN Money noted it will still take 45 years for full parity in chief executive roles. While this seems like a very long time, it's actually much less than what a McKinsey and Company study last year estimated: it will take 25 years to reach gender parity at the senior-VP level and more than 100 years in the C-suite.
