Microsoft, which likely has produced at least one product you use regularly, has become the third company to be worth more than $1 trillion, according to the Wall Street Journal. It joins Apple and Amazon as the only three companies to have achieved such a feat.

With such high valuations, these firms, if they were nations, would be among the largest economies on the planet. Each of them alone has more value than the GDP of all but the top 16 nations, with the next closest competitor, the Netherlands, having a GDP of "only" $912 billion. The value of all three combined would make it the fifth largest economy in the world, beating out the United Kingdom's $2.8 trillion GDP. The only economies bigger would be Germany, Japan, China, the European Union (which includes 28 separate countries including Germany) and the United States.
