A poll of 850 chief financial officers has found that, for only the second time in the 21 years the survey has been conducted, attracting and retaining qualified employees is their number one concern, according to, which did the study alongside Duke University. The struggle for talent is believed to be inhibiting company growth, as 89 percent of respondents said that they don't expect their companies will be able to pursue the full array of projects they'd like, as many cannot hire the staff they need, especially those who have experience in managing ambitious growth initiatives.
