As the editors and production staff were working to put together this issue, the NYSSCPA closed its offices and instituted a work-from-home program in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) here in New York. In the weeks that followed, most other entities have followed suit, as all but essential business and services have moved to remote working. Undoubtedly, all our readers elsewhere in the United States and around the globe have been affected by the pandemic in some way. The NYSSCPA continues to serve our members and advocate for the public interest in this dramatically, if only temporarily, changed environment for accounting, tax, and financial services. Over the coming months, The CPA Journal aims to provide our readers with timely, actionable guidance on how to navigate this crisis and interpret the deluge of relief legislation.
