In this Issue: January 2020
This year marks the 90th year of publication for The CPA Journal. While much has changed in the world over this period, the Journal remains dedicated to analyzing the issues that impact the accounting profession. Throughout the coming year, we hope to feature a variety of articles that cover the broad themes that define why the profession is unique and important. In the editors’ opinion, these themes include serving the public interest; assuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements; analyzing financial performance; and advising stakeholders about an enterprise’s performance, outlook, and sustainability. We hope that readers will find these thought pieces as relevant as our more typical technical analysis of new standards and practices. And for those readers who have inspiring stories to tell about the path they have taken as a CPA, the editors continue to welcome such perspectives in our “Voices of the Profession” and “It’s Amazing” series.
