A New Look at Tax Software

2013 Annual Survey of New York State Tax Professionals

New York State tax professionals who responded to the 2013 annual survey continued to report utilizing the most popular tax software prod-ucts offered for sale, as well as free web-based resources. Overall ratings for tax compliance products generally increased from 2012, where-as overall ratings for tax research resources remained similar. Individual ratings reflected a mix of increases and decreases. The authors express their appreciation to New York State CPAs for their willingness to contribute to this annual study.
