In BriefThe recently enacted “version 2.0” of the Secure Act complements and enhances aspects of the original Secure Act passed in 2019. Like its predecessor, the law contains many complex provisions designed to expand the number of Americans who participate in workplace retirement plans and increase the level of contributions to those plans made by both employees and employers—thereby enhancing retirement security. The article details the most significant of those provisions so that CPAs can help individuals and businesses navigate the effects of this legislation in the coming years.
