The Affordable Care Act (ACA) reformed the U.S. health care system, addressing health insurance coverage, costs, and preventive care. It was enacted in March 2010 in two parts: the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, which was signed into law on March 23, 2010, and the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act, which amended it shortly thereafter on March 30, 2010. This month's column reviews two ACA-related websites that can help CPAs advise individuals and employers, as well as get ready for tax season reporting requirements.
