Brian E. Glickman, CPA
In response to the editorial by Mary-Jo Kranacher in the October issue of The CPA Journal (“Deficit Reduction Versus Job Creation”), the proposed job creation is more of the same as the nearly $1 trillion stimulus bill previously passed. That one was extremely successful in adding to the deficit. The American Jobs Act is more of the same. Paying the costs of police, teachers, and firemen is the responsibility of the locality where they work. That includes maintenance and repair of the schools in each as well. It is not the responsibility of the whole country.
