Here's a word of advice for accounting professionals: Don't build a practice around pursuing clients. It's expensive and time-consuming, and it will burn out you and your staff. Instead, build your practice around attracting clients. Be the light that businesses flock to. When you are attracting clients, you are in a better position to ask for—and get—premium fees. Clients who find their own way to your doorstep will contract more services and enthusiastically refer you to others.
