Employee engagement is becoming increasingly familiar lingo to those CPAs interested in ensuring that their organization and its staff are successful. An engaged employee is one who is thoroughly involved, enthusiastic about her work, and acts in a way that furthers a company's interests. We have all seen these people at work. They are the ones who stay late without being asked, volunteer for additional responsibility, act like an “owner,” and generally go above and beyond. They are the ones who would leave a hole in the organization's core if they left.
