U.S. Unemployment Rate
The U.S. unemployment rate remained at 4.1% for the sixth straight month. More robust economic growth, due in part to the federal tax cuts, should continue to keep the labor market tight.
CPI 2017-2018—Annualized Monthly Reports
The rate of consumer inflation, as measured by the CPI, remains in the Federal Reserve's target range. The gasoline index declined by 4.9% in March, holding down the overall index, while the indices for shelter, medical care, personal care, and auto insurance increased.
