MillennialsMillennialsMillennials! Millennials in the workplace! Millennials in social media! Millennials in the kitchenmillenialsEveryone, it seems, is talking about millennials...Except for millennials themselves, the majority of whom reject the label, according to the Pew Research Center. A recent survey reveals that just 40 percent of adults aged 18 to 34 identify as Millennials. This is in contract to the 58 percent of adults 35-50 who identify as Generation X, and the 79 percent of adults aged 51-69 who identify as Baby Boomers. The Atlantic speculates that this could because the boundaries of who counts as a Millennial are a little more nebulous than, say, the Baby Boomers, whose generational identity is tied to a specific event (i.e. the post-war baby boom).
