Rock ClimbingIn most businesses, it pays to be extroverted and daring, the kind of person who takes a plunge and comes up successful. But if your default setting is to play it safe, there’s good news: According to Forbes, bravery is a skill that can be mastered. Here’s how:

  1. Know why you’re taking a risk: Knowing what you want/need will be a compelling reason to leave your comfort zone.
  2. Re-evaluate the risk: Don’t overestimate the probability of things going badly, and don’t underestimate the cost of doing nothing!
  3. Don’t let failure get to you: Don’t see failure as an inadequacy on your part, think of it as a stepping stone on your way to success.
