COMMITTEE ACTION PLAN
 
Who We Are
 
Members of the Taxation of Individuals Committee are tax professionals that specialize in or have an interest in the various aspects of taxation that impact individual taxpayers.
 
What We Do
 
The objective of this committee is to provide a forum for addressing the technical, educational and professional needs of the Society membership specifically related to the taxation of individuals. The committee undertakes the following activities to meet this stated objective:
 
•  Holds regularly scheduled meetings to discuss recent technical and legislative issues
 
•  Includes an open forum in each meeting to discuss actual practice issues
 
•  Supports the Society in identifying and addressing emerging technical or professional issues
 
•  Establishes committee liaisons with other Society committees where applicable
 
•  Presents Evening Technical Sessions for the Society
 
•  Sponsors a conference each year
 
•  Contributes articles to Society publications
 
•  Addresses technical questions from Society members
 
•  Proposes and drafts comment letters to authoritative and regulatory bodies on relevant tax issues
 
Who Should Join
 
Any Society member with expertise or an interest in the taxation of individuals should consider joining this committee. Membership provides a unique opportunity to network with other professionals in the field as well as to support the Society and the profession.
