About the New York, Multistate & Local Taxation Committee

Mission Statement

The mission of the New York State, Multistate and Local Taxation committee of the NYSSCPA is to be the leader in this area of taxation through the following:

1. Fostering a relationship with the Commissioners and officials of the various Tax Departments and maintaining open lines of communications with them
2. Provide technical assistance and disseminate information to the members of the NYSSCPA through:

A) Education programs including the Annual Seminar and Technical Sessions
B) Answering questions of our members by telephone or over the website
C) Writing articles on current events for the CPA Journal and The Trusted Professional

3. Propose and review legislative and regulatory changes in the current tax laws and procedures to simplify State, City and Local taxation
