Introduction
This Chapter Operations Manual has been prepared to explain the organization, functions, and operations of the chapters of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. It is intended to show the relationship between the Society and its 14 chapters, and how they work together as an integral unit.
Equally as important, the handbook includes several “How To” pieces, since the NYSSCPA is very aware that members who serve as chapter officers, members of the Executive Committee, committee chairs, and committee members are volunteers. We salute your dedication to the profession and the success of the chapter.

The chapters have evolved out of the need to carry out the goals and objectives of the Society throughout the different regions of the state. Their activities and contributions help to maintain the integrity of the profession.
