NEW YORK – (July 29, 2015) – Some of New York’s most ambitious young CPAs will gather in Midtown Friday for NextGen 2015, an annual interactive career development conference hosted by the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
The event’s theme - “Learn It Here, Make It Anywhere” – highlights some of the soft skills lessons about office dynamics, communications, business etiquette and time management that the program, to be held at the Citi Executive Conference Center, 153 E. 53rd St.; will focus on.
The 2015 conference, produced by the Society's Foundation for Accounting Education (FAE), also will be simulcast to other affiliate gatherings of young accounting professionals in Albany, Buffalo and Syracuse. The conference is available to the general public via webcast.
“Networking conferences are everything,” said one of the NextGen’s event speakers, Somya R. Munjal, CPA, MBA, MAS, and owner of CPA for the People, LLP.
“You never know who you will meet and how that will positively affect your career and maybe even your personal life,” said Munjal, who will be presenting on time management, efficiency and balancing increasingly complex assignments.
