NY’s New Taxation Commissioner to hear CPAs concerns at Tuesday conference

WHAT: Will participate in an open discussion with attendees of the NYSSCPA’s 2015 New York State Taxation Conference, the biggest tax conference of the year

WHEN: Tuesday, November 10, 2015 from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

WHERE: New York City Bar Association, 42 West 44th Street, New York, N.Y. 10005

WHY: This annual conference – one of the largest produced by the New York State Society of CPA’s Foundation for Accounting Education (FAE) - aims to provide certified public accountants and others in the finance industry a comprehensive update on state and city tax reform, enforcement and other regulatory issues. No matter if it’s withholding, corporate, sales, property, energy or income; all things taxes will be discussed.

Other notables scheduled to present at the event include

  • Diane Leyden, NYC’s first taxpayer advocate, New York City Department of Finance
  • Alfred T. Grillo, tax manager for Con Edison
