  • The NYSSCPA Urges the New York Congressional Delegation to Postpone Tax Deadline

    The New York State Society of CPAs (NYSSCPA) has called on the New York Congressional Delegation to urge the Department of the Treasury and the IRS to extend and/or postpone the April 15 tax filing deadline amid the current coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The letter of support comes after the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) proposed numerous changes to the IRS and Treasury Department, which has caused Secretary Steven Mnuchin to announce a 90-day extension.
