The New York State Society of CPAs (NYSSCPA) is honoring 40 CPAs and accounting professionals, all under the age of 40, who are excelling in their careers. 

NEW YORK – (July 1, 2020) - For more than 30 years, the New York State Society of CPAs (NYSSCPA) has recognized the best business and financial reporting through its Excellence in Financial Journalism (EFJ) Awards.

The New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) is pleased to announce their new Board of Directors—a 39-member governing body—which includes the positions of president, president-elect, vice presidents, secretary/treasurer, directors as chapter representatives and directors-at-large, who all began their terms of office on June 1.

The New York State Society of CPAs (NYSSCPA) has called on the New York Congressional Delegation to urge the Department of the Treasury and the IRS to extend and/or postpone the April 15 tax filing deadline amid the current coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The letter of support comes after the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) proposed numerous changes to the IRS and Treasury Department, which has caused Secretary Steven Mnuchin to announce a 90-day extension.

NEW YORK – (August 1, 2019) – The CPA Journal, published monthly by the New York State Society of CPAs (NYSSCPA), announced the winners of its Max Block Distinguished Article Awards. Chosen by the magazine’s editorial review board members, the winning authors were recognized in three categories for the most outstanding and thought-provoking articles published in 2018.
