Honoring Buffalo’s CPA Community: From Graduation to Retirement

Buffalo Chapter President

Welcome to the 2026–2027 fiscal year for the Buffalo Chapter of the NYCPA! It is both an honor and a privilege to serve as Chapter President this year.

I began my journey toward becoming a CPA in 2017 with Lumsden McCormick (Brisbane Consulting Group) after graduating from Hilbert College with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting: Economic Crime Investigation. During my first year at Lumsden McCormick, I also earned my master’s degree in Forensic Accounting from Canisius College. Today, I am a Valuation, Forensic, and Litigation Manager with Sax Advisory Group, where I work closely with clients and attorneys on complex divorce and other litigated matters, while also leading training initiatives within our department. As Chapter President, my goal is to create meaningful opportunities for networking, education, and community engagement here in Western New York. 

A key focus of mine is recognizing and celebrating the Buffalo CPA community that has provided me with so many opportunities. Over the past nine years serving on the Buffalo Chapter Board, I have had the privilege of developing our New CPA Celebration, which highlights Buffalo’s newest professionals who have passed the CPA exam or recently become licensed. As I step into this role, I look forward to expanding our member appreciation efforts by recognizing the contributions of our members and by enhancing our offerings, including free CPE opportunities. 

I would also like to thank Marc Mallare for his year of service as Chapter President and for helping ensure the continued success of our 100-year-old chapter. 

It is truly an honor to serve in this role, and I’m excited for the year ahead. I look forward to meeting you, or seeing you again, at our upcoming events and meetings. I firmly believe that getting involved in your professional community can be a gamechanger, especially here in Buffalo. Whether you’re a student, a newly licensed CPA, or a seasoned professional, chapter involvement helps you build meaningful relationships, stay informed on issues impacting our profession, and grow as a leader.
