Thank you for your interest in the New York State Society of CPAs (NYCPA) Campus Liaison Program. Campus Liaisons provide a vital link between the Society and college/university students who are eager to learn about the exciting possibilities of a career in accounting. A degree in accounting/business opens up opportunities for earning the CPA license and pursuing a career in public accounting, forensics, business and finance. By introducing these students to the Society, you are opening the door to connections, mentors–and even job or internship opportunities down the line. Your efforts are integral to building a robust, diverse generation of future accountants and business leaders.
As a Campus Liaison, your responsibilities include—
● Attending Campus Liaison semi-annual meetings.
● Providing students and alumni with information about accounting and promoting the career path of accounting with a goal of earning the CPA license.
● Recruiting student membership to the NYCPA. Please find the link to the College/University Student Membership Application for your convenience.
- Inviting the NYCPA to your classroom, Betta Alpha Psi Chapter or Accounting Club Meeting at least once a year.
- Participating in a local NYCPA Chapter student event.
- Encouraging student participation in NYCPA statewide and chapter student events.
- Promoting the Moynihan Scholarship Fund (MSF) Accounting Scholarship Programs, which awards scholarships to qualifying undergraduate and graduate students.
- Providing outreach assistance if your university participates in The Moynihan Scholarship Fund’s Career Opportunities in the Accounting Profession (COAP) program.
By serving as a Campus Liaison, your annual NYCPA dues are waived—a value of up to $595.
Terms: Each year, we will ask you to complete this application to provide the NYCPA with information on your campus activities and interest in remaining a Campus Liaison.
Please complete the application and submit by April 11, 2025.
