NEW YORK—The IRS has announced plans for a new National Research Program (NRP) that will allow more accurate reporting and even aid in the reduction of the national tax gap. The NYSSCPA’s Professional Ethics Committee (PEC) has officially welcomed former New York State comptroller and past Baruch College president Edward “Ned” Regan into its ranks. Regan’s addition to the committee roster is part of an effort to comply with the recommendations set forth in the Quality Enhancement Policy Committee’s (QEPC) white paper on ethics.
