SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—Ethics was the watchword and theme of the NYSSCPA’s 6th Annual Leadership Conference, held July 7–11 at the Gideon Putnam Hotel in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Society leadership attending the five-day event met on a variety of ethics-related topics and heard presentations by national leaders in the accounting profession. |

response to a series of articles in Newsday and audit reports issued
by the New York State Comptroller highlighting “abuse by certain
