NEW YORK—At a March meeting of its Committee on Higher Education and Professional Practice in Albany, the New York State Board of Regents announced, after a full briefing on new professional rules, that they would defer a major provision to align the state regulations covering entities not currently covered by Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) with those set forth by SOX.
