Society Changes E-mail Domain

By Frank Pagani

On November 1, the NYSSCPA changed its e-mail domain to nysscpa.org. Previously, staff and members with e-mail accounts through the Society's website used luca.com as their domain address.
The new address furthers a stronger identification with the Society that began last year with the launch of the redesigned www.nysscpa.org website, which replaced the former www.luca.com.

The switch to the nysscpa.org domain will not cause any disruption in service for users of the former luca.com address. The Society's e-mail server automatically forwards messages sent to luca.com addresses to the new nysscpa.org accounts.

"This seamless change means that luca.com users will have no need to print updated business cards and stationery," NYSSCPA Chief Technology Officer Kevin Lewis said.

Lewis explained that luca.com users do not have to take any action on their own to transfer to the nysscpa.org e-mail address. The NYSSCPA will notify users via e-mail just prior to changing their accounts and then again to reconfirm once the Society's information services department staff sets up the new address.

Members who wish to establish a new personal e-mail account through nysscpa.org can complete a registration form on http://www.nysscpa.org/mail-form.htm.

For more information, please contact Lewis at (212) 719-8340, (800) 633-6320, or klewis@nysscpa.org. *
