Society Committees Appeal to Members in Industry

This month we would like to remind NYSSCPA members of a free benefit: the weekly E-zine.
The E-zine is e-mailed to all subscribers every Thursday and includes:

Analysis of the latest issues affecting the accounting profession

Helpful opinion pieces on various topics from accounting experts

The latest updates on legislation affecting the accounting world

Information on upcoming CPE events and Society conferences

A weekly opinion poll on the hottest issues
To subscribe to the NYSSCPA E-zine, go to the nysscpa.org home page
and click on “Receive an E-zine” under the “Things
to Do” banner on the left-hand side of the page. You can also
enter the website address www.nysscpa.org/scripts/ezine/subscribe.cfm
directly into your browser.
Once on the subscription page, fill out the online form and click “Subscribe!” You will then receive a welcome e-mail signifying you have been added to the subscription list and can expect the E-zine to show up in your inbox each Thursday.
Your name and e-mail will not be given to any other organization, and you can always unsubscribe from the E-zine list by heading back to the sign-up page, clicking “Unsubscribe” and entering your e-mail address.
By the Numbers
All Society sites once again broke records for most categories in October.
The website recorded 172,627 total visits, breaking September’s record of 156,161. The site also recorded three 7,000-plus visit days for the first time, including the single-day record of 7,342 on Oct. 21. In fact, during the week of Oct. 19–25, the site recorded a record 40,319 visits for one week, and an additional 157,825 page views.
In total, the website recorded 678,974 page views for the month and 3,608,315 hits, both top three all-time.
Finally, total unique visitors (129, 238), which is one distinct visitor to a website regardless of how many times he or she visits that site; total new visitors (99,944), which is a visitor visiting a site for the first time; and total repeat visitors (36,380), which is a visit by a visitor who has been to a site at least once before, were all records.
