Metro Area CPAs Invited to December Reception

Special Welcome for New Licensees

By Lillie Balinova

NYSSCPA President Alan E. Weiner, President-Elect P. Gerard Sokolski, and Executive Director Louis Grumet will greet CPAs from Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, and the Bronx on December 14 at the first ever officers visitation for the metropolitan New York area.

This reception offers the area's CPAs the same opportunity to connect with Society leadership as their counterparts in chapters throughout the state received. Members are encouraged to bring newly licensed CPAs from their firms.

In addition to meeting Weiner, Sokolski, Grumet, and other leaders in the profession, attendees will learn about current professional issues, including the Uniform Accountancy Act, fiscal year reform, the Society's political action committee, and the future of the profession.

The reception will take place from 4:30 to 6pm at the Society's offices at 530 Fifth Avenue. Complimentary light refreshments will be served. To RSVP, phone Kiesha Mills at (212) 719-8392 or (800) 633-6320, e-mail her at kymills@nysscpa.org, or fax her at (212) 719-3364. *
