Anchin,
Block & Anchin LLP named its 2003–2004
scholarship recipients, two talented accounting
students attending Baruch College. The company’s
founders, David C. Anchin and Max Block, were both
former NYSSCPA leaders who attended Baruch College,
then known as City College, and who promoted education
as a key to advancement within the company, as well
as throughout the accounting profession. Anchin,
Block & Anchin awards two separate $500 scholarships,
the David C. Anchin Memorial Scholarship and the
Max Block Memorial Scholarship, to Baruch accounting
students with the highest GPAs who are in need of
financial aid.
Min Ci Rong, a native of China and
a student at Baruch, will put her Block Memorial
Scholarship toward her general accounting studies.
Beside her are Jim Anchin (right) and Jeff Rosenthal,
both partners with Anchin, Block & Anchin.
