Fiftieth Annual Institute on Taxation in December

By Mark G. Janulewicz, cochair Buffalo Chapter Federal and State Taxation Committee

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Institute on Taxation in Buffalo, N.Y. The Institute, cofounded by the University at Buffalo and the New York State Society of CPAs, provides tax practitioners with cutting-edge information regarding the substance and administration of tax laws.

This year’s Institute will be held on Dec. 11 and 12 at the Adams Mark Hotel in downtown Buffalo. There will be in-depth presentations with topics that include federal and state tax updates, New York State Empire Zones, investment strategies in light of the new tax laws, and many others. We also have a guest luncheon speaker, Daniel B. Walsh, the CEO of The Business Council of New York State, Inc., and a cocktail reception on Thursday evening.

This two-day seminar is one of largest gatherings of professionals in the Western New York area and is attended by tax practitioners, tax attorneys and financial advisors. The presenters are professionals from the Western New York area who are experts in their fields.

If you would like additional information about the Institute, please call Maggie Grady at 716-645-3200.
