I was looking at the Useful Links page—which was extremely helpful, by the way—and thought I might have one or two suggestions for some additional links. Whom should I contact in order to share this information?

The Society’s website staff is always pleased to receive input from Society members. Any suggestions for the Useful Links page—or for any other page on the website—should be sent for consideration to website Managing Editor Kyle Booth at kbooth@nysscpa.org.

I was reading about academic associate membership on the Society’s website and was wondering if I would be eligible for membership in this category as a graduate student in accounting (I intend to pursue an academic career at the university level).

The academic associate category, which is available to non-CPA accounting, auditing, and tax professors that want to stay current on developments within the accounting profession, is restricted to official faculty members of the accounting departments at accredited colleges and universities. However, you may apply for student associate membership, which affords accounting majors an opportunity to learn about the issues that are shaping the field and provides the same benefits as the other associate membership categories.

For more information about any level of membership, prospective Society members should contact Marketing Manager Bill Pape at (212) 719-8420, (800) NYSSCPA (697-7272), or wpape@nysscpa.org.
