Member Benefits

Are you familiar with the array of affinity and group benefit programs available to you as a member of the New York State Society of CPAs? A recent survey of the membership indicated that chances are you are not. The NYSSCPA would like to change that.
The Society creates member benefit programs to provide you with extra value for your dues-paying membership. To the extent that members take advantage of these programs, the NYSSCPA believes they can be beneficial.
NYSSCPA President Jeffrey Hoops appointed Carol Lapidus this year to chair the Member Benefits Committee. Under her leadership, the committee commissioned a survey of the members to find out their opinions on existing programs and to gather opinions about potential new programs. The survey results indicated that no matter how long the tenure of the member, most were unfamiliar with the benefits package of the NYSSCPA. To improve the visibility and familiarity of this package, the Society will begin running a member benefits column on a monthly basis in The Trusted Professional.
In the coming months these columns will provide in-depth coverage of specific programs, but you can find more information on them by going to the Society’s website at www.nysscpa.org and clicking on the “Member Benefits” link under the Member Services banner.
