New York—The New York State Board for Public Accountancy (NYSBPA) spent a significant portion of its Aug. 29 meeting discussing the recently implemented computer-based test (CBT), the exam required to earn CPA certification. Top on the list of concerns were the mounting costs incurred by exam test-takers. The board also discussed proposed changes to the Uniform Accountancy Act in regards to out-of-state substantial equivalency.
