Rochester Chapter Holds Third Annual Counselor’s Cup Golf Challenge

The Rochester Chapter and the Young Lawyer Section of the Monroe County Bar Association held the third annual Counselor’s Cup Golf Challenge on July 31 at Ravenwood Golf Club in Victor, N.Y. The tournament is designed to bring together accountants, attorneys, bankers and financial professionals for a day of networking and fun. This year 96 golfers came out to play.

As part of the tournament, points are awarded to two-person teams for eagles, birdies, pars, single putts, greens hit in regulation and fairways hit in regulation. The sum of the points from each team within each profession determines the winner of the golf challenge. This year, with 333 points, the winning group was the financial professionals. Dana Consler and Tom Duffy’s team accepted the trophy.

Recognition was also given to the lowest-gross teams playing a two-person scramble format. Third place was awarded again to Dana Consler and Tom Duffy, with a score of 68. Second place was awarded to the team of Steve Chatwin and Tim Shortsleeve (accountants), with a score of 67. And first-place rights went to the team of Rob DePalma and Dave Abruzzese (accountants), with a low score of 65.
