CPAs and Bankers Network at Golf Outing

By Malina Farshtey

The NYSSCPA Cooperation with Bankers and Other Credit Grantors Committee, chaired by Steven M. Rosenberg, held its Annual Golf and Tennis Classic on August 14 at the Ridgeway Country Club in White Plains, N.Y.

More than 125 CPAs and bankers attended the event, which opened with a pre-tournament brunch followed by a shotgun start at 11:00am. The event concluded with a cocktail reception and awards dinner.

Each year any surplus generated by the event is donated to the Excellence in Accounting Scholarship Fund.

Eighteen companies sponsored a hole or a tee on the golf course this year, and lots of fun prizes were given away during the successful raffle. In addition, three sponsors contributed giveaways for the players: European American Bank, Fleet Bank, and the CIT Group. Quantum Corporate Funding Ltd. generously sponsored this year’s Hole-in-One contest.

“The success of an event is measured by the quantity and diversity of the people who attend it,” said event Chair Ronald J. Tramazzo Jr. “Despite the poor weather, I am pleased to say that the Annual Golf and Tennis Classic was once again a successful event which I hope was enjoyed by all who participated."
