Heating Oil Cooperative Saves Members Money, Provides Better Service
By Ed Parker
With the energy experts predicting another brutal winter, the New York State Society of CPAs is offering a fuel savings program through HEAT USA, the country’s largest fuel-buying group, that could mean significant savings on heating bills this year.
HEAT USA works much like a union for homeowners: It uses the combined buying power of more than 27,000 members to get sizable discounts and high-quality service from top-rated local oil suppliers. NYSSCPA members that join HEAT USA enjoy free full-service contracts, free annual cleaning and tune-ups, and dependable deliveries and service. Conveniences such as automatic delivery, credit terms, and budget billing are also available.
Additionally, Society members can enjoy excellent service from the knowledgeable and friendly HEAT USA staff. They make sure that members receive the best service and the best deals for all of their fuel and heating needs and answer questions, offer advice on buying new equipment, and provide suggestions on how to reduce heating costs.
NYSSCPA members that join now for a $25 annual membership fee will save an average of $200–300 a year. If at any time a member becomes dissatisfied with HEAT USA, the group will refund the membership fee. HEAT USA is available in the New York City metropolitan area; Long Island; Westchester, Putnam, and Dutchess Counties; most of northern New Jersey; Fairfield County in Connecticut; and Rhode Island.
