Second Annual CPA Symposium Scheduled for Syracuse in July 2002

By Alan Schmelkin

The Young CPA committees from several chapters have already begun work on the second annual 2002 CPA Symposium in Syracuse, following its recent successful premiere in Buffalo.

Program details are being worked on right now to give registrants a good balance of technical session updates and other personal development subjects that they can use in their firms to be more valuable to their clients.

It is the goal of the Young CPA group to rotate the location of the symposium throughout New York state and to give each chapter a chance to host this event in their own area. Already, people from Long Island are making a bid for 2003.

As the symposium grows, each chapter is encouraged to get delegates from their respective Young CPA committees involved in this exciting activity. It is through participation and interaction that each chapter can begin to plan for the symposium in their region of New York. Looking back proudly on the success of the first symposium, the Buffalo Chapter Steering Committee invites other chapters to pick up where they left off.
