As a college student in 1992, Christopher Klaus invented Internet Scanner, technology that identifies and fixes network security weaknesses. Klaus teamed with software management veteran Thomas E. Noonan to create Internet Security Systems (ISS), a global company created to protect customers' online security needs.

Founded in 1994, ISS' solutions detect and prevent attacks against online assets.
