July 2002
Website of the Monthwww.iss.net As a college student in 1992, Christopher Klaus invented Internet Scanner, technology that identifies and fixes network security weaknesses. Klaus teamed with software management veteran Thomas E. Noonan to create Internet Security Systems (ISS), a global company created to protect customers' online security needs. Founded in 1994, ISS' solutions detect and prevent attacks against online
assets. This line of defense protects networks, servers and desktops against
an ever-changing spectrum of threats, with a line of products and services
designed for the particular needs of enterprise, small business, consumer
and service-provider markets. These threat protection solutions go beyond
basic access control to deliver layers of defense that detect, prevent
and respond to threats prior to damage to customers' business operations.
