City Department of Finance Commissioner Addresses Luncheon

By Adam H. Reiss, CPA

Andrew S. Eristoff, commissioner of the New York City Department of Finance, was the guest speaker at the annual luncheon sponsored by the NYSSCPA Cooperation with Bankers and Other Credit Grantors Committee on May 16 at the Yale Club in New York City.

Eristoff provided a background of the department's various responsibilities, emphasizing its main focus on tax administration. He discussed recent initiatives such as developing a website to automate certain processes and proposals for tax reductions.

The event drew approximately 65 CPAs and bankers. It is one of the many networking events sponsored by the committee, chaired by Steven M. Rosenberg, to foster relations between the banking and accounting communities.
