Conference Updates Industry ProfessionalsThe NYSSCPA Conference for CPAs in Industry, held on April 28 in New York City, provided updates on a wide range of finance, accounting, and management topics of interest to financial professionals in the private sector. "This conference is clear evidence of the Society's renewed efforts to meet the practical needs of CPA members working in industry," said Neville Grusd, NYSSCPA Industry Oversight Committee chair. "Conference evaluations were positive and indicated a clear need to continue these efforts."
Members in industry can network with peers and sharpen professional expertise through committee involvement. The Society has 17 industry committees, and most chapters have local industry committees. (See for a related story on the Western Regional Industry Conference, cosponsored by the Buffalo and Rochester chapters.) For committee service opportunities, contact your local chapter president or NYSSCPA Committee Relations Manager Nereida Gomez at (212) 719-8358, (800) NYSSCPA (697-7272), or ngomez@nysscpa.org.
