May 2003 Disciplinary Matters Milton Gold of Hewlett, N.Y., was expelled from NYSSCPA membership effective March 17, 2003. Mr. Gold signed a settlement agreement to be expelled for a violation of Rule 506—Communications, Interpretation 506-1—Duty to Cooperate. Mr. Gold failed to comply with directives in a letter of corrective action issued to him by the Professional Ethics Committee. Lawrence Mark Schiff of Williamsville, N.Y., was expelled from NYSSCPA membership effective April 3, 2003. Mr. Schiff signed a settlement agreement to expel him for a violation of Rule 501—Acts Discreditable, for having been convicted of a violation of 18 USC § 1030(2) (2) (C), a federal misdemeanor of computer fraud. |
