State Bar President to Speak at Annual ConferencePanel Will Discuss Multidisciplinary Practices Thomas O. Rice, president of the 67,000-member New York State Bar Association, will participate in a panel on multidisciplinary practices at the NYSSCPA Annual Conference to take place June 36 at the Seaview Marriott in Absecon, N.J. Rice, a partner in the Brooklyn and Long Islandbased law firm Wingate, Kearney & Cullen, will discuss the concerns of the legal profession if accountants and other nonattorneys are permitted to partner and share fees with attorneys.
Rice will join fellow panel members Dan Goldwasser, NYSSCPA legal counsel and a partner with Vedder Price Kaufman & Kammholz, and Society MDP team members Avery Neumark, a partner with Rosen Seymour Shapss Martin & Co. LLP, and Francis T. Nusspickel, a partner with Arthur Andersen LLP. The session will take place Sunday morning, June 4, following the conference's plenary session.
