By Malaika Danovitz

New York State Lieutenant Governor Mary Donohue discussed the state's efforts to improve education and the economy at a February 2 meeting sponsored by the NYSSCPA Utica Chapter's Cooperation with Bankers and the Bar Committee. The lieutenant governor also shared thoughts on new initiatives that could effect the Mohawk Valley's local business climate.

Approximately 150 local CPAs, bankers, and attorneys attended the meeting.

"Lieutenant Governor Donohue's experience as an attorney, a district attorney, and a Supreme Court judge gives her a deeper understanding of the legal issues of the improvements that are being made in New York state," committee Chair John Barone said. *
