FAQs, cyberspeak for "frequently asked questions," is a feature of The Trusted Professional that answers common questions about http://www.nysscpa.org. Members can post inquiries and comments about the Society's website by clicking on the Technical Problems and Website Suggestions links at the bottom of the homepage.

The following are recent inquiries posed to website editors:

As an NYSSCPA member I am subject to the Society's Code of Professional Conduct. Does the website offer the full text of the code?

As a result of bylaws changes approved by the membership, the Society recently updated the Code of Professional Conduct. You can access the fully updated code through the Find It Fast menu on the homepage. Simply click on the Professional Library section, scroll through the drop-down menu to Code of Conduct, and click Go. The site includes the full text of the code with an easily navigable index of sections for quick access.

I am active in several Society committees and visit the website's committee section for meeting minutes and member addresses on a regular basis. I would, however, like to see more information in this area such as links to related websites or articles that offer advice and resources on committee-specific issues. I believe all the committees would benefit from such links, but is there a way to customize each section to offer such information?

Indeed there is. The website staff is currently working with committees to offer links, FAQs, and other information pertaining to the particular committee. In addition, all committee action plans are being updated and made available online. We are glad to assist any of the committees in this regard to make the committees section a more useful and informative tool.
