Suffolk Young CPAs Network with
Local Professionals

More than 65 young professionals from banking, finance, insurance, law, and accounting attended the NYSSCPA Suffolk Chapter's Young CPAs Committee semiannual networking cocktail party on November 17 at the Long Island Sheraton Hotel in Smithtown.

The event featured Laurie Altschuler, a training consultant with Dale Carnegie, who spoke about "stacking," a process where individuals use mental pictures of objects to aid in conversing and networking with other people.

"Participants at the event had a chance to apply this theory during the evening and found it to be extremely helpful in getting to know their peers," Young CPAs Committee Chair Judi Cox said.
