Planning Ahead

By Richard Wismer, Staten Island Chapter President

I hope all of you had an enjoyable summer. It is amazing how fast the summer goes. The summer time is usually the slower season, but our chapter has been meeting and planning many events for the autumn season.

Upcoming events in September include the annual Golf Outing and barbecue at the South Shore Golf Course and Country Club on Friday, Sept. 23. The day’s activities start at 7 a.m. with a continental breakfast and an 8 a.m. shotgun start. After golf there will be a barbecue on the veranda overlooking the golf course, with many prizes being raffled off. The cost of the event is $125 for golf and the barbecue and $50 for the barbecue only.

This event is chaired by Mark Fappiano and Anthony Tanzi.

On Thursday, Sept. 27, at 6 p.m., we will have our accounting and compilation update, chaired by Curt Philipczak, which takes place at the Renaissance catering hall on Hylan Blvd.

I want to take this time to thank the members of the Staten Island Chapter board for their assistance in keeping the chapter alive and well.
